Army Command Sgt. Maj. Christopher K. Greca, currently assigned to U.S. Army Forces Command at Fort Bragg, has been selected as the command senior enlisted leader at U.S. Central Command in Tampa.
Greca has been the senior noncommissioned officer with FORSCOM since June 24.
"I'm humbled to have had the opportunity to serve with Gen. (Daniel) Allyn and the team here at U.S. Army Forces Command," Greca said in a statement Monday. "It has been an honor and a privilege serving our soldiers and their families daily. Although my current assignment is not quite complete, I look forward to making a positive impact on the joint force for Gen. (Lloyd) Austin and the soldiers, sailors, airmen and marines and the families of those assigned to U.S. Central Command."
FORSCOM, the Army's largest command, includes some 800,000 soldiers across three active-duty corps, nine active-duty divisions and the U.S. Army Reserve Command.
A date for Greca's departure from FORSCOM has not been determined, and a replacement has not been named.
Greca joined the Army in 1986. Prior to coming to Fort Bragg, he served as command sergeant major for 2nd Battalion, 30th Infantry Brigade at Fort Polk, La., and 4th Infantry Brigade Combat Team, 10th Mountain Division at Fort Drum, N.Y.
His most recent assignment before moving to FORSCOM was as command sergeant major of the Combined Arms Center at Fort Leavenworth, Kan.
His awards and decorations include Legion of Merit with two oak leaf clusters, Bronze Star Medal with two oak leaf clusters, Purple Heart, Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Meritorious Service Medal with two oak leaf clusters, Joint Service Commendation Medal, and the Army Commendation Medal with five oak leaf clusters.
